The 2013 Santa Fe comes in two sizes, the standard 7-seat Santa Fe, and the 5-seat Santa Fe Sport. The two models feature a different trim and entertain some impressive features that will inspire interest amongst customers. The 5-seat Sport model will be available in Fall 2012, while the 7-seat, long wheel base model will ship in early 2013.
Some of the new features that have come into play are a heated steering wheel and cooled seats as well as the standard heated seats. The Sport model will come equipped with the full Trailer Tow Package which has never happened before; this has traditionally existed as an additional accessory only.
Select models also include:
- Sliding second-row seating
- Heated rear seats and
- A 4.3" display screen
While other vehicles in this class also share these features, Hyundai has been able to offer these additional perks while maintaining the same price point as the 2012 Santa Fe. In that way, all this luxury is considered accoutrement that Hyundai is offering is at a remarkably reasonable price. While final pricing has not yet been confirmed, the 'base model to top end' will range somewhere between $25,000 - $39,000.
The 2013 Santa Fe will no longer feature a standard transmission option, and Hyundai has opted out on the V6 Engine completely. Consumers will be thrilled to experience the new 2.4L and Turbo versions. The 2.4 still possesses a great amount of horsepower so that drivers won't feel a sense of compromise on performance based on the smaller engine size. Nevertheless, those who want to push for speed and endurance will be attracted to the eco friendly 2.0L Turbo engine option, a confident step forward from the V6.
Our sales team agrees, the Santa Fe has clearly shone as THE vehicle that has emerged as the most recognizable and synonymous with Hyundai as a brand. We've been waiting 5 years for this fantastic redux on an already celebrated model. We look forward to seeing them all over Winnipeg roads in the coming months!
